Serial numbers with an “S” prefix denote the 1970s (signifying a CBS attempt to use serial numbers to identify production years); an “E” prefix was introduced in 1979 to denote the 1980s. As seen in the overlap of numbers and years, even these references to actual production dates are rather loose. Back to my point - if Fender can do Danelectro bridges (and why would you on a non-dano) Danelectro can so do a finish that Fender essentially stole rom them (and from every late 60s stove/refrigerator).

This is really cool. You are looking at a Danelectro Dead-On '67 Baritone Reissue. Baritone guitars are between guitars and basses in length and tone, and this Danelectro model has a really meaty sound. Featuring two single-coil lipstick tube pickups for vintage tone, as well as a 3-way selector, the guitar also has a vibrato. It’s a double cutaway with a basswood body and takes it cue from vintage Danelectro models - the baritone was first introduced in 1956. It has a slim maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard.
From The Web:

A baritone electric guitar with retro looks and features.

The Dead-On '67 Baritone Electric Guitar from Danelectro features a long scale length for lower tuning, a satin finish, nickel hardware, a truss rod that adjusts at the headstock, the original swivel rosewood bridge that intonates, and souped-up Lipstick pickups. The 'Dead-On 67' guitar also features the original Danelectro tremolo and split pickguard.

  • Longer 27.75' baritone scale length for lower tuning
  • Dual lipstick single-coil pickups
  • Two volume and two tone controls
  • Rosewood bridge with tremolo bridge/tailpiece
  • Nickel hardware
  • Adjustable truss rod
  • Satin finish
  • Split pickguard

Weight: 6.05 lbs.

Cosmetics: Good Condition. There are some light strumming scratches on the pickguard as well as the front. The back is very clean. Neck, Fretboard and Headstock in good shape. Overall, very good condition. Normal wear and tear. Not abused or beat up in any way. It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
